What surprised me the most about DeGroote is the tight-knit community and the teams put in place to enable student success.

Why an MBA?

After the completion of a BSc degree I was unsure of my next steps. I had a solid understanding of where I did not see my career evolving and endless opportunities of where it could grow. I had a great interest in pursing business and a Co-op MBA program has been the perfect next step. The academic side of the program provides the necessary financial acumen for a science student and the co-op terms allow the application of this knowledge in a professional business environment.

What surprised you about DeGroote?

What surprised me the most about DeGroote is the tight-knit community and the teams put in place to enable student success. The courses are structured to integrate students of different backgrounds and truly push team building while working under pressure. Additionally, all facets of the faculty have been there to provide student development whenever necessary. There is no shortage of support and resources.

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?

Connect with alumni and organizations that you’re interested in, early on. These relationships allow you to learn about what you want in a role, steer your career path and influence securing your co-op.
