We’ll also highlight our part-time work opportunities available to Full-Time MBA candidates through the McLean Centre for Collaborative Discovery (MCCD). Designed to help you build experience and tangible results alongside your studies with real work community and industry partners. Finally, hear how ongoing case-based learning allows you to continuously apply theory to real-world scenarios across industries and functions. BLPT MBA: In-Person Student & Alumni Panel and Networking

During this in-person event, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with BLPT MBA alumni and current students who are eager to share their unique experiences and insights. Join our panel and ask questions directly to alumni and student ambassadors as they discuss their journey—from the application process to the program experience, career impact, and beyond. This is also a great opportunity to meet admitted BLPT MBA candidates, current students, alumni, faculty, and staff, and to expand your network. Event Schedule: 6:00-6:30 pm – Check-in @ RJC concierge and Networking 6:30 pm – Welcome by MBA Program Director 6:40 pm – BLPT Overview and Experience 7:00-8:00 pm – Alumni & Student Panel + Networking Free parking, appetizers, and light refreshments are included with registration. Please register only if you are able to attend in person, as space is limited.

Guest Lecture with Yaqin Hu

Get a glimpse into the DeGroote MBA Classroom through a live guest lecture with DeGroote faculty! Yaqin Hu was this years recipient of the Dr. S. J. Basu Teaching Award. Facilitated by the MBAA, the Dr. S. J. Basu Teaching Award is voted on by students and given the professors or instructors teaching in the MBA Program. Recipients best reflect teaching excellence to foster the type of teaching displayed by Dr. Sanjoy Joe Basu. Yaqin, How do you make your courses fun and engaging for students? It is all about examples and discussions. Accounting is real. It is related to many aspects of the business world: earnings, cost, investment, analysts, CEOs, CFOs, compensation, regulations, stock, and debt, just to name a few. If there is such a course called “account-for-all”, I assure you that accounting is one. Being able to present a story behind the numbers is the most effective way to have students’ attention and engage them in the classroom discussions. Following the lecture, our recruitment team will host a Q&A to answer your questions about the program curriculum, application process, and potential career paths.
