Why DeGroote?

The co-op MBA at DeGroote is one of a kind, it provides a platform to not only learn theoretical concepts but also apply them practically in the work terms. The community is close-knit, with immensely helpful faculty, staff and peers.

Why an MBA?

I always knew I wanted to do an MBA to attain professional business and professional acumen. An MBA gives an excellent networking opportunity by allowing meet people from all around the globe and share their experiences. It is also the best way to pivot into my desired career of getting into the world of Marketing Analytics.

What surprised you about DeGroote?

The first thing that surprised me about DeGroote was the co-op program, as an international student, these co-op terms would play a critical role in providing the necessary Canadian experience. I was impressed with the prompt replies and support from the recruitment team at DeGroote, I also received immense help from seniors that I had the opportunity to connect with.

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?

Come with an open mind, the course is intense but you will see immense development both personally and professionally. Make use of the immense knowledge professors and the CPD team has to exploit professional opportunities.

What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?

One of the highlights has been the amazing co-op experience I had during the winter of 2022. Though I did my first semester (Fall 2021) online, I never felt the absence, this is because the staff makes you feel so involved and present all the time. I also loved how helpful and supportive everyone is in this community, it makes me feel so belonged and taken care of.
