Why DeGroote?

DeGroote is such a unique MBA program that allows a student to pursue their true passions and discover new ones. The family-oriented culture that the MBA community establishes makes you feel comfortable and accepted from day one. Why an MBA?

An MBA allows an individual to further enhance their transferable and technical skills that will make them more marketable to future employers. Having the opportunity to learn about different business areas, allows anyone to understand what they are truly passionate about. An MBA will truly allow you to develop as a person and professional and help you build a  skill that will assist you in making a major impact throughout your future career endeavours.

What surprised you about DeGroote?

The one thing that really surprised me about DeGroote was the family oriented culture that exists within the program. I heard throughout the recruitment process how exceptional and welcoming the entire community was but I didn’t realize how incredible they would be still I started at DeGroote. Even though I have only had a virtual experience so far in my MBA, the relationships I have built with staff and fellow students so far have been incredible.

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?

Know what you want to get out of the MBA program before you apply!

What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?

The highlight of my DeGroote experience so far has been my Co-op search. Even though it can be stressful at times it really allows you to improve your interview skills and understand what you are truly looking for in your future career. Having the opportunity to take part in three different Co-op terms, to further expand your knowledge and skillset is something you can not find in many other MBA programs.
