Why an MBA?

An MBA gives you the academic evidence to boost any career in all industries, as it is a sign that you understand the business, organizational behaviour, quantitative analysis in both finance and accounting. It’s also a good chance to discuss and learn top trends, successes and failures of various businesses. You also get to work with real companies to practice your skills.

What surprised you about DeGroote?

DeGroote’s dedication to excellence in both academics and career was a nice surprise. The team offers professional support and can connect you with alumni or upper-year students. Also, DeGroote has a lot of social clubs and events that are fun and educational. Many students can take on leadership roles.

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?

Be yourself and do not hesitate to apply after doing your research.

What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?

The in-class discussions and real-life business cases are both highlights. We can use the skills and knowledge from courses and apply them directly to a company that comes in and presents their problem for you to solve. Creativity from everyone is astounding.
