Why DeGroote?

DeGroote is a well renowned and respected business school with goals and values that help facilitate students’ success in the fast paced corporate world. The school’s Education with a Purpose really caught my attention and aligns with my own goals in both my professional and personal life. Having a purpose as a student means being part of a community that learns together but also creates a path to build networks and relationships along the way.

Why an MBA?

I decided to pursue my MBA to expand my knowledge and skill-set and help pave a path for future success in my professional career. An MBA will also provide a great opportunity to meet others and build lasting relationships and connections.

What surprised you about DeGroote?

I am surprised at how extremely helpful professors are to ensure students are successful, including taking the time to answer and explain any questions. I also appreciate how the main learning methods at DeGroote involve practicing and applying the concepts learned in class which aligns to how I learn best.

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?

What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?

Meeting like-minded individuals and building rapport has truly been a highlight of my DeGroote experience. In addition, class engagement with my peers and sharing professional experiences has been a learning avenue beyond the class material.

Aside from being an MBA Student Ambassador, what other extra-curricular activities have you been involved with while at DeGroote?

I really enjoy volunteering my time and giving back to the community. For the past two years, I have dedicated by efforts to the Alzheimer’s Society of Toronto
