As someone who thrives with change, I was terrified of going down a path where I was put in a singular box. An MBA allows for diverse learning and creates unlimited potential. It is ultimately the holistic nature of the learning and the opportunities that come along with that, that really drew me to an MBA.

Why DeGroote?

The opportunity to specialize in HSM at DeGroote allows me to take my passion for healthcare and gain the business acumen required in order to be a part of our health system’s transformational change. It is this in addition to the widespread co-op opportunities, incredible alumni network and positive culture that really drew me to DeGroote.

What surprised you about DeGroote?

It should not come as a surprise but the amazing people at DeGroote make the experience better than I could have ever imagined. A culture fostered around inclusivity, collaborative learning and mutual success really builds lifelong friendships.

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?

Don’t worry if you have never taken a business course in your life, if you are interested in an MBA take the leap and go for it.

What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?

One specific highlight of my DeGroote experience thus far was competing in the charity pitch competition at the end of my first in-class semester. My group was pitching for the Baby Depot and getting to hear stories from our community organization was inspiring.
