Why an MBA?
I decided to get my MBA because I wanted to build my leadership skills, along with my interpersonal skills. This experience has pushed me outside of my comfort zone, allowing me to try new things and constantly learn along the way. The personal growth that I wanted to receive is far past my expectations where I not only have a strong support system, but I have obtained a clear vision of what I am truly passionate about in life and what I am currently pursuing.
What surprised you about DeGroote?
The level of support I have received during my time here. Challenges and setbacks come, they are a natural part of life, and it is with a strong support system, which DeGroote truly provides, that has allowed me to overcome these challenges and appreciate them along the way. I will always be grateful for the level of support and kindness I have received from DeGroote.
What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?
Never hide who you are, embrace the skills and traits you bring to the table, while learning something new every single day.
What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?
The highlight for my experience at DeGroote so far is getting involved with student activities, specifically, MBA Games 2020. This event allowed me to network with my current peers and other schools around Canada, give back to the community and raise awareness to a local charity, and have fun with the team participating in many different activities. Getting involved with the amazing clubs and activities that DeGroote has to offer has truly made my experience unforgettable!
