Why DeGroote?

Coming straight from a science undergrad, I was looking for a way to gain experience while building a comprehensive understanding of my target industry. DeGroote’s Full Time with Co-op program has three different co-op terms which means three different opportunities to apply the business skills I developed in the classroom.

Why an MBA?

An MBA is a great choice for those looking to develop real-world business skills. DeGroote promotes a very team-oriented environment in which you are continuously challenged to think critically about complex business problems and propose thoughtful solutions. At the same time, the career and professional development support you receive at DeGroote is unmatched and allows you to position yourself as a well-rounded business leader.

What surprised you about DeGroote?

I have been most surprised by the versatility that comes with the DeGroote MBA program. From completing my first co-op term in an industry I had previously known little about to the ability to customize your second year courses to fit your interests, the world really does become your oyster!

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?

If you want to be interesting, be interested!

What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?

The people! Your MBA classmates will become your network when you graduate. Taking the time to get to know my peers’ backgrounds, interests, and goals has allowed me to form what I know will be life-long friendships.
