Why DeGroote?

Recognizing that the world around us is evolving at a rapid pace, it was important to pick a school at the forefront of research and innovation. With ambitions to make a difference in the world, I was confident that DeGroote would be the right fit to propel my career forward. The Part-Time Accelerated MBA program offered me the flexibility to pursue my goals without making the difficult choice of picking between my career or my education.

Why an MBA?

I have been very fortunate to gain a wide range of experiences at a leading Canadian bank at such an early point in my career. However, I recognized that an MBA education would be an asset as I looked to advance my career and remain competitive in this fast-paced world. The DeGroote MBA would serve as a critical juncture in my career – preparing me with the skills, credentials and network to build on the work ethic, knowledge base, and maturity that have always propelled me to professional and academic success.

What surprised you about DeGroote?

The DeGroote School of Business is so much more than a sleek and modern educational facility. DeGroote’s interactive and case-based teaching method encourages students to work together to diversify their perspectives. Small classroom sizes allow faculty and students to really get to know each other and form a strong network.

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?

“Your Network = Your Net Worth” Make an effort to build relationships with your peers, professors and academic support staff.

What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?

DeGroote not only attracts both domestic and international students, but also those across a variety of academic disciplines. The dynamic curriculum paired with diverse representation within the classroom has enabled me to challenge my way of thinking and be more effective as a leader.
