Why DeGroote?
My goal of completing an MBA at DeGroote was driven by the school’s strong reputation, commitment to innovation, and community-focused atmosphere. While I was an undergraduate student at McMaster University in the Faculty of Science, I was openly welcomed by DeGroote for both academic courses to complete a business minor, and for extracurricular positions. I appreciated the business school’s dedication to building confident leaders and cultivating knowledge. Moreover, as someone interested in healthcare management and merging my science background with business expertise, DeGroote’s Health Services Management Specialization made it the ideal choice for me.
What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?
I highly recommend taking advantage of the opportunities presented to you as an applicant of the DeGroote MBA program. The MBA team provides numerous resources to support you before and during the application process. Personally, I found great value in attending ambassador webinars, scheduling coffee chats, visiting the Ron Joyce Centre for open houses, and meeting admission officers at graduate education fairs. Additionally, I would encourage you to network with current students, staff, and alumni. These connections will give you a deeper understanding of the program and better prepare you for your MBA journey.
