Why an MBA?
Coming from a Civil Engineering background, I felt that an MBA degree would best help diversify my skillset in creating a well-rounded combination of both technical and business knowledge – helping open as many opportunities in the future as possible. In pursuing an MBA, this program has not only allowed me to expand my understanding of the content covered by the curriculum but has also equipped me with important business acumen and tools that can help distinguish oneself within the professional environment.
What surprised you about DeGroote?
I was personally surprised with how supportive and welcoming the DeGroote community was – the students, alumni, faculty, and administration! It’s an incredibly encouraging and collaborative environment, which not only creates a positive atmosphere to develop and learn but also makes the program an enjoyable experience.
What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?

What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?
Aside from the skills and knowledge gained from the courses taken so far, a significant highlight of my DeGroote experience has been the connections that I have made in the program. With such a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences, there are endless opportunities to work with and learn from such an incredible group of individuals within the academic, professional, and social environment.
