I'm surprised by the immense amount of opportunities one gets for self-development. From participating in National/ International Case Competitions to interacting with Industry Leaders at networking sessions, I have been enjoying every step of my journey at DeGroote.
Why DeGroote?
Attending DeGroote’s MBA Information session and further interacting with one of the Admission Managers, Ms. Rita Chen, re-affirmed by belief in DeGroote’s MBA. I was certain that the school will help me actualize my goals. I was intrigued by DeGroote’s small cohort, personalized learning environment, collaborative culture, unparalleled reputation, and strong Alumni Network. I researched and read about the Graduate Business Student Association and the Student Clubs, and was sure that they would play a central role in my self-development through participation in various activities.
Why an MBA?
As a Business Development Manager in the past, I gained enriched experience with planning and overseeing marketing initiatives. The experience inspired me to take future studies to strengthen my skills and understanding of the marketing world. An MBA will certainly allow me to gain an understanding of concepts in business and economics that drive marketing efforts.

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?
“Everyone has his own journey!” Yours is different from mine. Believe in your skill set!
What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?
My participation in the International Health Case Competition 2020 in Term 2. It was an incredible experience, starting from winning the intra-university competition to getting selected and having represented McMaster Univesity at Emory University, Atlanta.
Aside from being an MBA Student Ambassador, what other extra-curricular activities have you been involved with while at DeGroote?
