Why DeGroote?

The sense of community, the importance given to relationship building, the fantastic networking events, the spread of alumni, proximity to Toronto, and of course the affordability are just few of the most commendable traits of DeGroote School of Business. These factors majorly governed my decision to choose DeGroote.

Why an MBA?

The stage of life at which I was before starting my MBA predominantly drove me to pursue MBA. I had around 4.5 years of professional experience including 2 years of running my Blockchain based Healthcare startup. Having worked in couple of industries and in different roles, MBA was the most logical next step to upskill myself.

What surprised you about DeGroote?

DeGroote is extremely supportive and more than surprisingly accommodating. I started my MBA in 2020, when the world was in an interestingly bad phase. DeGroote made the best of a worst situation, and how. From being supportive in terms of providing online classes, keeping in mind the various time-zones the students were from, to facilitating a fantastic quarantine facility for 14 days to international students, DeGroote has wowed me every time.

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?

MBA is a roller coaster ride, and MBA at DeGroote is no different. Be mentally prepared that you will be exhausted managing everything. But, that’s the fun of it.

What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?

Getting a Business Development Intern role at BlackBerry has been the highlight of my DeGroote experience, yet! Keep checking to watch the incoming highlights. 🙂

Aside from being an MBA Student Ambassador, what other extra-curricular activities have you been involved with while at DeGroote?
