After working full time for about 3 years, I developed a better understanding of where I wanted my career to go. I wanted to step into a leadership role, and it was clear that the MBA was the right path for me to take to get where I wanted to be. I wanted to continue working while I studied and DeGroote’s accelerated part time MBA program aligned perfectly with what I was looking for. Since starting my MBA in Fall 2022, I have successfully been able to maintain my full time role and part time educational commitments.

I am a proud McMaster and DeGroote alumna after completing my undergraduate degree in Commerce. Throughout my academic journey at DeGroote, I had the pleasure of learning from dedicated and passionate professors who truly cared about the learning experience they delivered. I chose DeGroote for my MBA as I was confident, I would be provided with the same enriching and memorable experience. As I look forward to graduating in 2024, I can truly say I am thankful for the decision I made. I have had the opportunity to learn from engaging and talented Professors who have integrated their own professional experiences into lectures. My learning experience has had a profound impact on my personal development as a leader.
What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?
Embrace the opportunity to step out of your comfort zone! As an MBA student, you will have the opportunity to connect with students and professors from diverse backgrounds and professional walks of life. It is an opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and expose yourself to more learning. There is so much to learn from everyone you are exposed to whether it may be presentation skills, real-life experiences or networking. Graduating from DeGroote you will be stepping away with your MBA and so much more!
