Why DeGroote?

For me, pursuing my MBA at DeGroote was an easy decision. Coming from a health sciences background, DeGroote’s extensive connections within the healthcare industry were a major factor that drew me to the program. Additionally, I understood the value of DeGroote’s 3-term co-op stream as I was looking to gain experience in multiple facets within the healthcare industry!

Why an MBA?

I decided to pursue an MBA as I was looking to make a change in my career trajectory. I knew an MBA would provide me with the skillset and business acumen to become a strong candidate in the workforce.

What surprised you about DeGroote?

What surprised me the most about DeGroote was the community! The students, teachers, and alumni are all incredibly supportive and welcoming and truly want to see you succeed. You never need to hesitate before reaching out – everyone is always eager to help at DeGroote!

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?

Build connections early! You never know when an old connection will come in handy when applying to co-ops and future job positions.

What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?

The highlight of my DeGroote experience thus far has been the connections I’ve made! The close-knit community at DeGroote is amazing. Make an effort to get to know your peers as these are the people who will become your network one day!
