Why DeGroote?
DeGroote is a place I have always felt welcome. From the application process to becoming a student, I have felt incredibly supported by members of the DeGroote community along my journey. As a student with a science background, I knew DeGroote could provide me with the business fundamentals I need to become a successful business leader. I saw the MBA co-op program as a unique experience to further enhance my classroom learnings by applying them into a professional setting.
Why an MBA?
I chose to pursue an MBA degree because of the program’s focus on building leadership skills. It was important for me to study alongside like minded people who also care about making impact through their careers. An MBA also provides unique networking opportunities that are of great value to young professionals.

The approachability of faculty has always been some that surprises me about DeGroote. DeGroote faculty really go above and beyond to build a tight-knit and supportive community for its students. Professors are highly engaged and truly care about the successes of their students at DeGroote and beyond.
What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?
Never be hesitant to reach out to members of the DeGroote community – everyone has unique experiences and pieces of advice that may resonate with you.
What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?
Professionally, my favourite experience has been working on projects alongside companies and helping them solve real-time business problems. Personally, the highlight of this program has been building lifelong friendships with so many of my amazing colleagues.
