Why DeGroote?

Our students, staff and alumni were the essential aspects which made me choose DeGroote over other academic institutions. From the beginning, when I was deciding where to pursue my MBA program, I found a special bond with the DeGroote Community.

Why an MBA?

The MBA program exposes you to various challenging situations where you learn how to make better decisions and determine how you will lead in the future. Additionally, after working for over five years in different industries, I was ready to step out of my comfort zone and enhance my professional career.

What surprised you about DeGroote?

Our diversity has surprised me about DeGroote the most because our program has professionals from all sorts of different cultures and backgrounds. Our course discussions involve the perspective of engineering, finance, supply chain, healthcare, and tourism students, among other experiences from different continents, so it is valuable for the business learning process.

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering doing their MBA at DeGroote?

Work hard every day and give the best out of yourself, and you will enjoy your MBA program at DeGroote.

What has been the highlight of your DeGroote experience so far?

I may have to admit that the highlight of my DeGroote experience has been the sense of belonging with our community. Even though I come from an engineering background and from a country where English is not the first language, I thought I would not fit into the program and felt anxious about it. However, my experience has been the other way around, I feel part of our DeGroote Community, and I have international and domestic colleagues who I can now call friends.
